PALETTE & PAINT: Portrait Palette, Sanden Style.

I was hoping to have more to show you today for Palette & Paint...
no paint in sight, just a palette, apologies all.

As you may know I've been learning all about 'Painting the Head in Oil'
from John Howard Sanden's book.

I've been getting supplies ready so I can undergo the process of mixing up
Sanden's ten 'extra colors' for portrait painting
(colors as seen in his book below - which I photographed for yesterday's WOYWW post).

Sanden bulk mixes his extra colors and places them in empty tubes,
saving time mixing them prior to each sitting.  I'll be put mine in bottles,
as here in Australia it is difficult to source empty tubes.

The two glass frames you see above will actually be used as palettes,
the small one for pre mixing the ten colors and the big one for painting.
