Here it is, two jars of Howard Sanden's Pro Portrait Palette colors all mixed up ready to use.
I had to stop at these two colors, because it dawned on me, that this is a lot of paint, and what if it does not keep in the glass bottles?
Sanden keeps his in empty tubes (which are not readily available here in Australia).
I've read that as long it is air tight it should be fine, we will see.
Sharing with my blog friends over at Paint Party Friday.

Hi Tracey. I don't see your link at PPF. Anyway, you've got some gorgeous flesh tones to work with here. I'll look forward to seeing more of your beautiful portraits in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, It was there yesterday, but no where in sight today. I've added it again, it seemed to work.
DeleteI don't know anything about storing oil paint in glass jars but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Love your work! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteMixing paint is fun. Good luck with this. Can't wait to see the paintings all this paint creates. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful, luscious colors. I certainly hope they keep in the jars. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteGreat colours. Fingers crossed for you. Happy PPF and enjoy the weekend, Annette x
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the your skin tone mix. Love to see them in action! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the way you've mixed the flesh tones, Tracey. Your portraits are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI know virtually nothing about mixing colours so found this totally fascinating. I would never have guessed you added blue to the mix for the flesh colour. I hope the jars keep the paint fresh for you.

How fascinating how you are creating your colours. I hope you find a solution.
ReplyDeleteLush colors, they are like make-up! :))
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you create with these jars of lusciousness.
ReplyDeleteWow! Mixing your own colours makes your paintings so much more yours.
ReplyDeleteLove your photographs of the paints, especially the one on the mixing board, all lined up. It just makes me long for being able to spend a whole day, or at least afternoon, painting. As it seems, I don't even know if I'll be able to join Palette & Paint and Paint Party Friday this week.
ReplyDeleteNordljus, mixing up these colours was indeed a great way to spend an afternoon. I had lots of fun. I'm glad I found a solution to storing them without drying out, as it would be a shame to waste such lush colours. Sorry to hear about your hectic week and not being sure you'll get to paint (or join the parties). Some weeks are like that, It's often a good thing to take a break and be back to it with a fresh mind and enthusiasm. Take Care xx
Deleteyummy!!!!!!!
