This afternoon I've been busy working away on this painting, pushing around the paint, changing her facial features and working up her hand. I thought I'd be finished this artwork by now, but as I'm working from many reference photos it's always a challenge to get the form and lighting right. There is still a little tweaking to go, but I thought I'd stop and snap a photo to share with the Artist's Play Room, we are all celebrating St Patrick's Day with SOMETHING GREEN!

This is so cute, I especially love the minty green well loved rabbit. My very favorite stuffed animal when I was a child was my bunny. Her ears flopped and she got greyer from her sweet pink but I loved her as much as this sweet child. Thanks for participating!

Thanks for hosting the party Jenn. This rabbit was inspired by a childhood book of mine, called 'remember me', there was a little girl that had a green rabbit that her grandma washed and hang on the line by it's ears to dry. Also inspired by picture of EO HOPPE and her bunny. You were very lucky to have a stuffed green rabbit as a child.

ReplyDeleteThanks Tracey, I was going for cute, adorable, glad it's finally heading there.
DeleteThat bunny is so cute, you could just pick it up and hug it. The hand is fantastic, all that practise was well worth it. Such a lovely face too.

Von, thanks, your comment has brightened my day! I'm learning that practice and study is so crucial to the development of ones work. Glad you like it, She's getting pretty close.
