Pin-ter-vention: HOME-MADE Bread and Zucchini...

... Ricotta Rolls.

It's time to share the Pinterest projects I've done this week for the Pin-ter-vention party! As I mentioned in last weeks post, I was going to try making this bread:

I altered the recipe {as usual} and it turned out brilliantly, I often have trouble making bread, but this loaf was very successful. My only alteration was that I used wholemeal Atta flour instead of rye and white flour. Here's what my loaf looked like:

Using the Bread {I made! - can you tell I'm proud of this loaf?} I constructed mini salmon sandwiches and the Zucchini Ricotta Rolls that are going around Pinterest. Here's how mine turned out:

Here's the recipe pin:

  1. the bread looks AHmazing!!!! :o)

I'm not one for salmon though... I've never tried making bread before, probably b/c my even my biscuits are normally more suited as weapons than food when I've attempted them... but hey, practice makes edible right?? :o)

  3. Jodi, Practice does make perfect {as with anything} but also I find a good recipe helps.

I've experimented with many different methods before I stumbled across this one.

It's an overcast day here in Brisbane, Australia and I've decided it's perfect weather for slow-cooked lamb and freshly made bread, so I've got another two loaves in the oven!

I don't make many biscuits and have not got any tips or good recipes for you to try, sorry.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Lisa, Thanks for the beautiful words Lisa. I do like my bread too!
It's been a bit of a struggle to find a recipe that works well with wholemeal flour, turns out crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and is quick (no kneading). I think this is the one!
I've got another batch in the oven today, the perfect rainy weather treat with Slow- Cooked lamb. (if it can make it until dinner - it's 9am here).

Your comment about me being an amazing artist touched me. I really enjoyed creating that video (especially the painting bit!).
