It's a cold and rainy Wednesday here in BrisVegas today, the kind of weather I like, it's perfect for getting creative! Here's what's on my work desk:
Not a great deal has changed since last week, There is a few new additions and some subtractions. A few postcards from Linden postcard prize {I entered this year for early 2012!} came in the mail yesterday and lay on the desk along with a Christmas gift from the lovely Tracey Fletcher King, who I met up with for a cuppa this morning.
I'm still working on 'He Loves Me', I've done a bit more on her torso this week. I'm keen to pick up the brush this afternoon and do some more on her. Also, below are some of my paints, messily laying on my desk, I must put them away after today's painting session.
Today I got some fantastic news, Valentine has arrived Safely to her new home in Florida, U.S.A. It makes me happy to know that 1. it arrived at it's destination and 2. It's in a wonderful home.

Great paintings and such a tidy desk. Are you only showing us the clean corner? :) Lucky you to get to meet up with Tracy FK. I wish I lived close enough to meet/join you - you're both such talented ladies.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a tidy desk and so bright, I love the paintings especially the bird on the shoulder. Have a lovely Wednesday, Laura
ReplyDeleteMore gorgeous light! Your desk looks so inviting, especially with a wrapped and wonderful looking gift from a chum!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping bye everyone, the support and encouragement that I get from all my blog-o-sphere friends is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI meant thanks for Stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteTerrie, It was so lovely to be able to catch up with Tracey FK, I wish we lived closer too, then we could catch up too! I just snapped a few photos of my studio just how is was, tubes of paint laying around and a few papers out of place. I work in a large open area in the lounge room (because the light and view is best) and I try to keep it tidy because I can't just close a door on it when quests come! That, and I find that I'm more productive if It's tidy and there is nothing else in the area to distract me.
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are beautiful as always. Glad to see just a little bit of mess with the paint tubes :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Von #25
Von, I've had a busy week, and I left a few things out of place as a result, but I thought, what the heck, I'll take a photo anyway, I thought you would appreciate the paint tubes/medium/palette knife mess. Did you notice the coffee cup stain and the paint marks?
ReplyDeleteTracey I just find your work enchanting! Thanks for missing me...LOL. I don't like to post on the blog when I go on vacation ahead of time because I don't like to advertise an empty house...ever cautious! Thanks for posting for FFTT while I was gone you are the absolute Sweetest! Happy WYOWW!
