Studio Update: The eyes have it?

This week I got into the studio and did something very daring, I decided to change the eyes on my 'He Loves Me' painting from closed to opened.  This changed the whole feel of the painting taking it from a reflective and distant mood to a more engaging one, I happen to like the eyes opened, what about you? Do you think the eyes have it? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Constructive advice welcomed.

He Love Me | Oil on Board| Work in Progress

If you missed it, I posted a colour guide for mixing her eyes on my blog for Thursday's Palette & Paints {P&P} post. P&P is the blog linky party I started last week for artist to share their palette and paints {and paintings too}. It's gotten off to a slow start, I'm not sure if it's because of all the festivities going on at the moment, if it's on a bad day for bloggers or if it's just not something artist want to do. We will have to see how it goes over the first month or two... If you are interested in participating, I've left the linky open over the weekend again if you'd like to take a photo of your palette and link up, please do.  Wishing  you all a very happy, productive and creative week, I'll see you at the parties!  And HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my American friends.

  8. wow, it's amazing how much that changes it. I love eyes anyway as they truly are the windows to the soul so I really like what you've done. I did like the eyes closed as she was quite dreamy but even with the eyes opened you've made her look a little nostaligic and questioning (I think it's the slight raise of the eyebrows. Love it!
