What a week it's been, at the end of last week I was frantically getting these three pieces ready to send off to the Linden Postcard Prize. I'm happy to say I got them all backed and packed up and sent on Friday. They arrived in St Kilda on Monday ready to be hang for the small works exhibition that starts early Feb.
A few days last week I worked outside in the garden, the sun was out and the air humid, perfect for gessoing the backs of my boards and putting on the d-rings etc. It was so nice to be outdoors. I even considered doing some actual painting out there this week, but alas, we have not had a sunny day.
Last week I was also trying to finish my Monthly Painters Challenge piece, but I only got to the sketch up stage before admitting defeat - due to time restraints, and ended up submitting this photographic image for the challenge instead. Don't worry I have not given up on the painting, I'll be working further on it over the next few weeks.
Below is my palette from last Thursday, with all the running around posting it for Palette & Paint got pushed back down on my to do list, so I'm posting it now, lucky the party is open a little later each week :)
And here's a snap shot of my desk currently, I got some new Liquin recently {I go through that stuff}, and also a super cool Klimt Diary for my birthday (thanks mum!).
I'm looking forward to seeing what you all have been up to.

Lucky you working outside for a bit, way too cold here for that! Love the eclectic nature of this post, so much loveliness to look at! And talking of love, I'm really liking that Klimt diary, last years calendar was a Klimt one, loved looking at it each day.
