I had been both excited and nervous leading up to this first challenge. I chose to do something quite different and as a result came across many issues that I had to resolve, this painting fought me all the way. I was nervous because I was not sure I could pull it off, heading into the last few days of this challenge I felt like giving up on the piece, but thankfully was able to bring it to a place I was happy with and to a point where I thought it represented LIGHT and not just an unreadable mess of paint. Here is how it ended up:

I then become nervous because I was not sure what the other artists had
created and I did not know how my work would fit in or measure up against the
other talented participants. I was also excited because I could not wait to see how everyone else
interpreted the subject, and boy they sure did give me a reason to be
excited this morning when I saw their wonderful pieces, below is all their
amazing work, well worth the wait, what a varied and beautiful result!

Tracey I am so glad you didn't give up on this piece because I love this work. I can't wait to see it in the flesh... maybe a coffee is order so I can see it in real life...not that we should need an excuse. Thanks for setting up this challenge Tracey, it has been such a great experience.

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that the group has helped inspire, motivate and got everyone thinking and creating, its wonderful to see the impact the challenge has had on each of us and how everyone got involved and immersed them self in the first challenge. We have a very talented bunch in our little group.
I can't wait to get started on the next topic, great choice btw, there are so many avenues one could go down. It will be interesting to see what is created and how everyone interprets it.
