I'm still doing color mixing exercisers from the 'Painting the Head in Oil' book, though it's taking me a lot longer than I expected (and I'm super keen to get into actual painting) I am learning a lot and getting used to the new palette system, and all this study can only be a good thing in terms of improvements when I do pick up the brush to make an artwork. Gosh, with this new set up I feel rather professional and organized. Linking with Palette & Paint (P&P), come and play along too.

I admire your colour mixing project, and these photos look just wonderful! Such gorgeous colours! I think I would hang these colour charts on my wall and just be happy everyime I look at them.
ReplyDeleteKatja, they are gorgeous colours, very bright even the lighter values are intense. It's going to be a great reference for future paintings. Hanging them on the wall is a great idea. Thanks.
DeleteGORGEOUS colors- I can't wait to see what you're going to do with them!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful this looks.....and there is me just starting at the basics of learning about a colour wheel which I never knew existed haha!!

Lesley, the colour wheel is fun! learning all about colour is exciting. Do you have a colour wheel that shows you the Triad, Slit Complementary, complementary, Tetrad colours, as well as the tint tone and shade?
