This week over on Paint Party Friday, everyone is sharing what they have painted this week, they are also talking about what surface they paint on. Head on over and join the conversation. If you have come from there, WELCOME. Above is what I can show you this week, in regards to what I have painted. I did a little more detailing on Valentine's face and hair.
I have also been working on my Monthly Painters Challenge piece as well, but I can not show you that until Tuesday, as the topic and the artwork is to remain a secret until it's uploaded onto the page on the reveal day. I can tease you with a little shot of my current palette though. I think you may have a hard time guessing what it is I'm painting just by looking at it.
Lately I have been trying a new priming method for my boards from 'Art, Love & Life' which is an equal combination of plaster and binder (I add a little green mid tone acrylic to the mix too to get my ground colour). It turns out to be a thick textured absorbent ground, which I'm enjoying painting on.
Happy...
