Finger Painting for Grown Ups

Yesterday I discovered a drawing/painting app. for the iPad and got quite addicted to it, spending some time sitting on the couch painting with my finger. I was experimenting with all the different materials, surfaces and colours and having a ball.

Valentine Sketch (W.I.P.) | Digital Painting | Not for Sale

I came up with the above image of Valentine. I got to the stage where I could not get any more detail with my broad finger tip so I'll have to invest in a stylus especially for drawing on the iPad, if I'd like to continue this one {or do others}.

Above are some screen shots of the app. in use, they were sourced from the iStore. I would recommend Art Set, it's an easy to use app. that emulates the studio environment without the mess.  It's got great reviews, is No. 1 on the paid apps. at the moment and it's only $0.99.

  7. Wow, Tracey, that's brilliant!! Hard to believe you can achieve such realistic results digitally. You can almost smell the paint. It would be nice to do if you were poorly or too tired to get in your studio but still wanted to be creative - or if you were out and about with a bit of time to spare. Until I saw this, I didn't think I would ever want an iPad but now I'm not so sure... Lol!
