Studio Update:

It's just gone five oclock, time to put down the brushes {for a few minutes} to share with you what's on the easel and give you all an update of my week in the studio.

Right now on the easel is a small piece I'm working on for this week IA challenge, the topic is masquerade ball. I know, you may be asking yourself right now what's a girl holding a cat got to do with a masked party, you will have to pop back over the weekend to find out as it's still early days and I have a few things in mind for this one.

{Blog Post Added} See Valentine and her Cat at the ball:

Also this week {yesterday in fact} "He Loves Me' got the chop, I ended up cutting some of the top off to make the composition better.  I've decided to go back into the painting too and over the next week work more on her hands and also her facial expression, she is a bit too sad, I want the painting to be about love.

Now that the paint has had the week to dry and a coat of retouch varnish has been applied, I took the opportunity to re-photograph 'Valentine'. The light was perfect, it's been an overcast day all day and the sun is slowly going down now. So here she is, she's been backed and is ready to go to her new home.

I'm linking up with
join the party!
