I stumbled across Melanie Mason (Director/Framer) at the start of the year when she was working out of the sports and memorabilia shop on the street front at Bay Terrace. I walked into the store with 'My Little Dear" in hand looking for someone to frame this work, the store was my last hope as I was not happy with the other framers I had spoken to, they looked at my painting like it was a bug and picked out unflattering frame combinations, were going to charge an arm and a leg for the work and clearly did not know what they were talking about. It was worth a try right? To be honest with you I was expecting an older gentleman who was into sports and had no clue about the arts, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable Melanie who not only spoke me about enhancing my image through framing, she was going to charge less for a better job.
The sports and memorabilia shop has since move up the street and Melanie has stayed out the back in her framing studio and set up a gallery/framing store in the building down the lane way. If you need something framed or you are looking for some artwork I highly recommend you pop into Mason and Daughters.
